I think you miss the real point. If LB or CSF or UCI aren't winning, fans of those schools have other choices for their dollar. In Logan there aren't any pro teams that USU is competing against.

The fact of the matter is that no BW school has enough alumni base or support to get an AD fired or removed. The same goes for coaches. I know a lot LB people are starting to see that Schumard isn't a good AD. But there's not enough support to buy out his contract.

At CSF the last couple years of Hawking many people wanted him fired. But CSF can't afford to buy out Hawking's contract and then pay a new coach. There aren't enough big money donors who can put pressure on the AD to fire him.
