Subject: NOT About Cactus, sorry

Well, the holiday mailbox bonus has been arriving all this week.

MY seed catalogs!!! And other Mailorder Extravaganza's!

This is the time I hunker down with highlighter pens, my garden notebook, and drool/dream about next years garden. Since I have no ground to plant in, I have to work them into containers, or make sure they are gifts.

I am going to get a good variety of tomatoes and do starts for my Instant Gratification MIL, who planted absolute dreck tomatoes last year. It got to the point I would cringe everytime she tried to send some home with us, and she knows I LOVE tomatoes, red and green.

Brandywines and some good cherries are going on my list. I will start them early and gift her with them to pop into her raised beds. That way, I can be assured of good ones when I'm starving for a quality BLT!

What are your winter garden dreams?

Favorite catalogs?
