I have to agree with you on both counts.

Corrie definitely seems to have the apptitude for a Head Coach. The past couple of years, I've been wondering how long she would stick around before heading off on her own.

I think Close stands an excellent chance of increasing her stock if she sticks with the Gauchos another two to three years and they are able to get to the Sweet 16 or beyond. With Coaches jobs always in flux as they are, I'm sure another position would find its way to her.

However, I also think it could be a big plus for Big West Women's Basketball should she take the Pacific post. Corrie has basketball smarts, a great reputation, excellent ties for recruiting, she's a people person and her players respect her very much.

I for one would like to see the Big West Women's Basketball return to glory and surpass the '80s. It's possible and hopefully not just a pipe dream!
