Thanks, Joann and Linda! We had a good time, in spite of how hot it was outside!!! We were rushed to get everything done before we left and only had 2 days there before we had to get her back to her Dad, but we had fun!!! I think I'm good on playing board and card games for a while now!!! LOL!!!
I told Danny when we went to bed the 1st night and it was quiet, that my ears hurt from the quiet!!! LOL!!! She talked NON-STOP till we went to bed!!!
We did crafts while we were there and she had a ball!!! We made walking sticks (dowels with decorative tape wrapped around) and bead necklaces (kits from Hobby Lobby). Danny drilled a hole in the top of our walking sticks and I tied a cord loop through it to hold onto them. I think she has the "crafting gene". Her Dad told me that she's always asking to do crafts, so that was right up her alley.
It has been so hot here lately. Heat index has been around 110*+, actual temps around 100*-105*!!! Thought it was going to rain when we had planned to go last week, so we put it off a day, but it didn't rain.
I can't wait to go back camping again in a few weeks. I really need the break from everything over the last 1 1/2 yrs with my Dad's cancer and passing and helping my Mom since Dad passed.

Hi Patty,

Sounds like you all had a nice time camping. I'm sure your Great Niece will remember the fun she had with her Aunt Patty and Uncle Danny for a long time to come.

Hopefully your upcoming camping trip will be on the cooler side, as it's not much fun when the temperatures are scorching hot like you just had the last few days on your outing.

You are quite "Welcome" and I tried my best to keep posting things while you were away.

Now, "my friend"...try to unwind a little and take time for you!
