Subject: OT Any ideas to share for New yrs. Appetizers

During Christmas I made Roll ups or Wraps using the super soft Taco shell rounds brand at Walmart by the deli, I made some Ham, some turkey, some roast, used the Philadelphia Cream cheese with Chive & Onion on some with shred. cheese you could use bacon bits, Other rollups I used a little Western dressing mixed with a little Kraft miracle whip dressing, then the shred. cheese, you could use Ranch dressing, I do not use Lettuce, since I roll then tight~ wrap indiv. with saran wrap and put in refrig. overnight, makes them nicer to cut the next day. On the Ham I use a little mustard with the Miracle whip with the shred. cheese.

This is always the first to disappear at our gatherings:
A container of Dill dip and a round loaf of Hawaiian Sweet Bread. Tear chunks of the bread and place back into the bowl of bread left and everyone can grab a piece and put the dill dip on it and it is so good. I would have never thought of it but the sweet and dill really compliment each other.
I also make the soft tortilla roll ups and they are always enjoyed .

Hi Darlene,

Although I haven't tried this...but will be doing for New Year's Eve...as I love Pizza.
I thought maybe you would like to check it out and see what you think of this idea for an appetizer.

Hugs~ Joann

Once again I am suggesting this recipe for Taco Cheesecake. It is my go-to recipe when I want something different that I know will go over well. It is more of a baked dip than a cheesecake, and is not a dessert at all. Paired up with corn flavored crackers or chips, it is a great party food. I have also made this in miniature spring form pans that are about 4-5" in diameter, and they make a cute decorated snowman on a plate. If you don't want to fuss with a lot of decorating and slicing, just frost the top and add some chunky salsa that has been drained a little. Like the commercial used to say, "Try it you'll like it!"

All these ideas sound good. I put them in my football game food folder. I make one with cream cheese spread in a circle on a plate with cocktail sauce spread on top, with the imitation crab on top of that and use ritz crackers to dip with. yum. I am always looking for something new as during football season we have a get together for all the Ne. games.

They all sound sooo good. In our hospitality room last July someone brought Buffalo Chicken dip and it went pretty quick. I can't have most because of my allergies but I watched the crock and when I saw someone getting it I asked them to let me know how they liked it. I didn't get the recipe from the lady who brought it. Even my DH liked it a lot.
