Thank you, Ladies, for reading my rant!!! I was just so upset, sad and disappointed that I had to miss it after all that had been done for it. I agree 100% with you about winter not being a good time for a wedding because of the unpredictable weather, especially around here. She really wanted my Dad to walk her down the aisle, but with his cancer didn't know how long it will be before he wouldn't be able to, so she decided on Feb 28th while he's still in fairly good shape and can get around. Her real father passed away a week before she graduated high school and her step-father has dementia and is in a nursing home. They were expecting about 100+ people, but because of the weather, there was only 30, maybe. Her new husband has relatives from Canada who came down, so postponing wasn't an option. I know we did the right thing by coming home, but still was sad about missing it. We tried to go, but the weather just kept getting worse and we were about to face many steep, winding hills and many lake bridges. Not where you should be on bad roads! There comes a time when enough is enough and you just have to make the best and safest decision for your family, so that's what we did. You gotta do what you gotta do!
Thanks again, Ladies! OK, back to crafting business now! LOL!!!
Patty
