Watch for "Back-to-school" wooden ruler sales! Isn't this cute? I think my niece who is a teacher would love this.

Hi Patty~

I'm sure your niece would "Love this Ruler Wreath" for her classroom.

Do you remember using Yardsticks?
Way back when.... I came home with a bunch from K-mart and used to make: Paper Twist & Silk Flowers to hang over the doorway.

Do you think yardsticks would work in place of the rulers? (could cut in pieces) I'm not sure but they used to give those away at the Home Depot..Lowes..and hardware stores etc.

Just a thought...a lot of stores are now selling back to school items for 10 & 20 cents which would be a good savings for this project.

Happy Crafting...Hugs~ Joann

Yes, I do think my niece, Karen, would love this wreath, Joann!!! She's going to be teaching math this coming year.
Yes, I use yardsticks still!!! And I know exactly what you are talking about with the yardsticks, papertwist and flowers. Made several of those!!!
Don't know why the cut yardsticks wouldn't work for this wreath, too.
I was thinking the same thing with the Back to School sales going on! I missed that Staples had them for 25c each last week, but I'm sure they will probably get even cheaper the closer it gets to school time!
