My prayers are with you and your family. You stated that Gordon grew tomatoes. He knows that work...but because of his stroke he can no longer continue doing that. However, Gordon knows this business very well. Have you considered having Gordon teach others how to do it. Instead of selling your stuff...perhaps use them as a training area and begin teaching others how to do this successfully. Gordon has a lot of knowledge to impart and by teaching and training others (he could become a consultant to other tomatoe growers who may be having trouble growing them well), he can continue doing what he loves to do and help others at the same time, as well as bring and income into the family. You stated that you have been trained in horticulture. Have you considered getting books at the library and continuing you learning more of what you already know. You could also become a plant consultant and help others learn to take care of their plants and still be a stay at home mom. You could also become a plant dr and help others nurture and heal their plants. I think you both have a lot of good knowledge to share with others and that knowledge could help turn what feels like a negative into a postive. Hang in there...things will get better. Wishing you all the best.
