Folks I found this site a couple of years ago and I was happy to find a place to feel not so alone. I wrote a couple of new messages and answered a few I thought I could help with my experiences from my form of dyslexia. all of us that have dyslexia are not the same. we are all different in how we act and think and how we fight this problem. As we grow older and sometimes lucky enough to have good people around us, or not, we either fight to be better or we go further in our hole of depression.
As I got older i got better with seeing numbers backwards. but got worse with remenbering names. but through it all my depressions were there and my confusion with life and the complexities of it all still made me feel different. I got better with somethings and worse with others! I am a loner still today because the world makes me sad and I do not understand why people are the way they are? Even though i understand the reasons why the world is unjust and prejudise to people that are different. It does not change the fact that it is just that way and it has been like that since humans began. there will always be people who do not understand someone that is different and make fun of or put us down. We as dyslexic are not alone there are many differences in the world some better some worse. We just say poor me and go back to hole.
Depression and fear wil always be the hardest thing for me to get rid of. I was not lucky enough when I
was young to have anyone to say to me that you can do it and stick by my side even if it was just in spirit!
I am 56 years old now and am doing better controlling my mind. I now can imagine what it would have been like to know about DYSLEXIA when i was younger! I know i would have been alot better earlier in my life if i did. Our society is not good at finding answers to problems, they just find reason to not have problems at all. If I can be of any help to anyone else, please ask. I am here for you in spirit and mind! Peace and Love to all living things. ftf.

If you are obviously thinking about what you say, the individual you are speaking with will be impressed and will find that you are a "careful" individual, more professional and smart. Since dyslexics flip pronouns around and will say an inversion of what they mean to say, the simple task of thinking through a sentence or phrase will help to eliminate this embarrassing mistake. When you are speaking with another person, do you tend to jumble pronouns when writing letters, papers, e-mails or when you're speaking with someone? For example, instead of you saying, "John went to the store to buy Jane a dog," you say, "Jane when to the store to buy John a dog. John went to the store to buy Jane a dog), make sure you think about what you need to say before you say it.
