Hi,
I am currently a Senior at a small private college, I will graduate a semester early with a triple major in Poli Sci, Philosophy, and Sociology. As well as with honors
First, I would ask if he has been tested if not get him tested, also register him with the school so they know he has a disorder.I would even say see if he might be able to become a member of Student Support Services also known as TRIO they can help guild him along the way.
Second, E books are amazing have him read them and listen at the same time.
Third, invest in a recorder, have him record the classes and take the notes of the board he can later replay the taped material and study off of that.
Fourth, I don't know the college he is attending, however, if it is a large institution he will find it much easier to coupe at a small college or university, it might be easier for him to transfer if he is at a large institution.
Fifth, breath, tell him to set aside a little time for himself

Be sure to give him what he needs, but let him do it on his own. He may want to quit at some point but the more he does along the way the more he'll want to finish.
