Hi all, need some suggestions badly. I have really bad dyslexia, did not even learn to read or write my own name till after i was 10. Failed out of school, the whole story you all know to well. When computers and spell checkrs came along I went back to school at age 30 and now, eight years later have a BS, MS, and just passed the bar exam. All thaks to MS Word.

Wel recently I had to swtich from by beloved Outlook to g-mail so I can check my mail on any computer and my phine and work in google docs.

But the g-mail spellchecker is overwhellemdby my writing, it never has any suggestions, its getting so fruistrationg and I am making mistakles that make me look bad to cleints, jusgde and potnetial emplyers.

Its horrible Im getting so frsutrated I want to scream/cray (we all know what that's like when your trying to type something) I don't allways have the time or abilty to cut and past my stuff to word and check it before I send.

Does anyone know of any good spell cherker sftware that will work withing g-mail or other programs? I have tried a few but they have the samelimiations, its so frustrating. I just need a spell chejer software or plug in that will underatnd me!

Thx so much -Matt

Hey Matt,

You can google Gmail spell checker and find lots of options. They have advanced spell checkers to use on there. I don't want to recommend one because I don't use g-mail.

There are many other options besides G-mail. The layout of G-mail is hard for me to use so I bailed on it. I use Yahoo email and pay like $30 a year for the business ed. I find it much easier to use than Gmail and you can also use it anywhere. I find the spell checker works well.

Explain your issue in full detail here:

In most emails there is a feature that can be activated to automatically spell check prior to sending it out. How do I turn this on for a MAC OS 10.4 or higher?
