My daughter is Dyslexic and has a hard time with spelling. I have been looking on line for ways to help. I am sad to say I have not found much, however I have found a program, link prvided, http://www.gingersoftware.com/ that looks great. Take a look at this and see if this might help. I wish you luck in your search, your friend is blessed to have you.

Hi Aimee! Here's something low-tech that might help.

First get your friend to e-mail (or dictate)one sentence.

Now take that sentence, make the spelling corrections, and change the font to HUGE letters. Print it out and tape it up on the wall on the left side of his bed or kitchen table or computer - wherever he/she spends a lot of time. Maybe in each of these locations. Always to the left and a little higher than eye level.

With kids we use different colours of paper as we add new sentences.

This is called using "visual imprint" to help the person to remember. It works for some people, so it may be worth a try. And it's CHEAP!
