Being a dyslexic and one of the senior population is difficult. I am 65 and find it hard to pull words out of my brain at times. I find that I am living in my brain too much and it is easy to be distracted from everyday things.

I have written a children’s book and have started the second one. Nothing published yet.

I know I am trying to work like when I was in my 20’s but that is not a reasonable attitude.

I need to slow down. The main problem I have is forgetting what I was saying. In the middle of a sentence, I blank out.

I know I am running tapes my mother instilled in all of her children. I cannot work but feel guilty because I should be working.

I am inputting too much information and emotions into my life.

I have many friends who have read my first book and marvel at what I wrote. I read the book and am surprised a dummy like me could write that well.

I hope I am making sense to you. I hope this helps you to accept yourself the way you are.

Alix
