sorry if this sounds blunt: sending your friend to a shrink will do no good, however a nero-opthamologist (one who knows about the brain and vision is just the ticket)this will involve a battery of tests,viewing the way his writing is done and his overall perception of the world around him.try this little trick, with a felt tip marker in block print write his name down on paper that will allow the ink to bleed through it, then flip the paper over, ask him if the text appears normal to him,if it does then he has strephosymbolia / Dyslexia, this is the true test of a mirror image reader, it`s not a curse, in many cultures it`s considered a gift of god. paschar(vision)
