I'm not sure what country you're from that if you are living in England you have a lot of rights in the workplace.
Under the law the company you work for has responsibility to make sure you are not bullied at work by your colleagues or my to fail in adequate.

You should go and see your manager and tell him or her the problems you are having with your work colleagues. After all they employed you because they felt you were a good enough candidate for the job.
If you belong to a union you should get them involved to I also have a responsibility your welfare.

if the above solution is not what your looking for you can try asking for a different task or if that's not an option you would be wanting a way to speed up the task, I'm guessing - as a dyslexic myself- that remembering the alphabet is your main problem. there are a number of options

a large table with all the letters of the alphabet stuck to it and you put the relevant mail item next to the appropriate letter then you pile them up and sort out the As and then the Bs in the same way

use a box with 26 sections or a folder with 26 dividers with tabs, each labeled with a letter of the alphabet

or the same could be done with a draw from a filing cabinet, at an appropriate height

I have every sympathy with your situation, I only found out I was dyslexic in 2009 at the age of 51. I was starting to have trouble at work with not keeping accurate written records and my coping skills could not deal with the problems I was having.
I have received nothing but problems and negative feedback from my employer (manager, Personnel and colleagues). In my situation I have been suspended from my job for the last 13mths and I am now awaiting a meeting to decide my future with my employer since my issues did not suddenly disappear when they through adaptations at me i.e. computer, software etc.
I am determined to fight for what is my right and that is to work in my chosen job to the best of my ability and to ensure that if my employer does not offer me the support they should that I will fight to get them to provide the assistance they should be providing.
My main Dyslexic problems are with organising and time keeping, I have reasonable reading and writing skills.
I do not know were you live but for the record I live in the UK and my employer is the NHS.
