Regretfully, I cannot travel to NYC during the winter months but, want to be part of your research. I have struggled with my dyslexia all my life with the understanding that I was "dumb" because, I could not keep up with my grade level ( even after repeating 1st grade) through out my academic career. I know you are looking for subjects only to 35 years of age but, as a 65 year old who struggled to receive a college degree in Elementary Education in '94 and completed my certification as a Academic Language Practitioner for children with dyslexia where I discovered I too, was dyslexic. For the past eight years, I have been tutoring at the Children's Dyslexia Center in Allentown, Pa.. I can help with your research from both sides of your research as a dyslexic and as a professional practitioner of Orton-Gillingham through my website: lehighvalleyreadingdyslexia.com
My current path is to help parents become their dyslexic child's advocate in school to make sure he/she is getting the correct professional help that they need. Living with my own dyslexia, I know first hand how it feels to struggle with reading and math and, how I have strengthened my weaknesses after completing the course in Orton-Gillingham's multisensory approach to teach reading and comprehension, spelling, penmanship and writing skills.

Please let me know if you are interested. Thank you.
Dorothy (Dottie) Moore, C.A.L.P
