He used stainless steel piano hinges and neat overlaps to ensure it remain waterproof. Each pane of glass was flat but toughened and easy to obtain. The side glass lifted up and folded down on top of the flattened halves of the windscreens. I'm happy to share some photo's via email; mike at willowside dot net.
