Knee braces to crack your thigh bone, and a standard cockpit that'll shred your shins, it is still damn fine when you don't have your own boat... Most combatts nowadays have "imaginary" bumpers and footpegs, but still do the trick. And what is the trick, you may ask? That is solely up to the paddler. My personal favourite is to veer off in the wrong direction during a charge start, tip over and then require a T-rescue; but hey I'm sure the general populace can come up with something better than that!
