Because evil is the absence of God. It does exist, but not in a part of God. His being everywhere doesn't mean there isn't evil. With God, what we know and see is different than what He knows and sees. He sees the whole picture. We don't. We "know" but it's hard to fathom, that the battle is already won. Jesus' work on the cross is complete, and satan is destroyed, yet we live here and watch it unfold because we are on different time than God. Not everything is logically explained because not everything is subject to the human standard of knowledge. We, as humans are lacking in understanding.
