Bear in mind that this was when AT40 was still a 3-hour
program rather than a 4-hour one. It was not uncommon by
1975 for at least five songs in the countdown to be edited
to some degree, and of course this three hour length meant
that only one or two extras could fit in, and there was no
room at all for features such as long distance dedications,
the AT40 archives or the top three recap.
