Subject: Shows with edited songs

Here is a question/observation I'd like to throw out to everyone for comments.

I was listening to the March 1976 shows and was struck by the large number of songs in the countdown that were edited down from their normal playing time. It seemed at least 6 songs, perhaps more were. I concluded that "Bohemian Rhapsody" had to be the culprit. The song itself could not be viably edited so AT40 played the entire 6 minute version but sacrificed other songs to do it. "Baby Face" seemed to be edited every week. So I am wondering if March 1976 might hold a record for more edited songs.

Also "It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me" is a victim of being edited most every week of its chart run. The full version was played at least 3 times, but its strange since the song really isn't all that objectionable.

I find it amusing that some songs seemed to be edited almost all the time, while others never seemed to suffer the fate.
