Except for the missing crew (which is budgetary) hiccup and the "Class M planet" hiccup (which apparently Zack and Ash passed as okay), I liked this episode.
As someone who is six months older than Kevin Sorbo, I found the remarks about calcium deposits in the joints very close to home. My knees. . . Yeah, there did seem to be a lot of emphasis on his health and I hope this is foreshadowing.
I also think the weird dialog and the easy to kill aliens (even the crew noted they were easy to kill) were intentional, showing the effect of the tunnel and the idea that this wasn't a serious attack.
And it had those black leather slipfighter suits. . .
Seriously, the pests all screamed that the show wasn't going to be arc-based. Now that all the loose ends aren't neatly tied up in every episode, the pests are screaming again. I LOVE the idea that we have to wait and see. . .
Wait and see WHAT Trance is. . .
Wait and see WHAT Beka meant by that remark to Tyr. . .
Wait and see WHAT significance there is to Dylan's health. . .
Wait and see WHAT the Tunnel aliens are REALLY up to . . .
I LOVE it! I'm so psyched to watch the rest of the season and then the next and the next and the next until Kevin Sorbo really is OLD!

Yup. Not perfect but a darn good episode overall.
