- I had a GREAT team one year- we were all seniors in HS and had worked really hard. All OC dancers going to college soon. We wanted "boxes" so badly. We were all HUGE harry potter fans and each had a Potter nickname. We made shirts, goodie bags and really bonded. Then we got 3rd! And celebrated with Potter themed balloons and ice cream sundaes (NT) -- i miss my team!, 14:01:20 11/09/09 Mon

- Russell Beaton's dramatic announcing of places and my dd face when she placed top three! She'd been recovering most of year from a major injury, started dancing again in August, at a new school. Dd's comeback amazed us all. RB had fun watching her face as he announced placement numbers and dcrs took their place on stage and she was still waiting. (NT) -- Memorable, 15:46:02 11/09/09 Mon

- When the announcer said: I want to publicly thank these adult ceili dancers because they all have jobs, spouses, children, etc. but still carry on the tradition of Irish dance & for that I think they need a public acknowledgment! "American soldiers are not just the guardians of peace… they are its architects. They build it with the invisible bricks of atrocities that did not occur, because the murderers were sensibly afraid of tangling with them. They add the mortar of countless acts of kindness and mercy, performed in war zones and disaster areas."
Beautiful words written today, Veteran's Day, The Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month, by a veteran too humble to give his name.
Thank you, to all who have served and to those who continue to stand in harm's way so that I can sit here voicing my opinion without fear of oppression.

TOP TEN REASONS I RECALLED at OIREACHTAS
10 I practiced hard
9 I didn’t make excuses for MY failures
8 I broke down each dance and sharpened up each step
7 Perfect practice make perfect
6 I ate right and got plenty of sleep
5 I’ve been good to others (karma)
4 I stay active in other ways to stay fit
3 I listened to my TC
2 I learned from every feis regardless of placement
And the number 1 reason I recalled is,
I love to dance and enjoy being on stage!
