Being an excellent portrait or sports photographer does not make you a good ID photographer. Specialist skills in understanding the dances to know what steps may happen, general moves common to all/most dancers, knowing the timing and more importantly, when to photograph dancers out of time to still get good shots, music to assist in getting good shots and more.
