It was time for my kid to move on for many of the same reasons that you describe. We almost made it through high school. Post COVID, only the very most talented stayed, so when there are 8 at a feis, and 6 of them are WQs, you're fighting for 7th, and there are WQs that don't even recall. It was pointless. Kid chose a different sport where her height and strength were assets.

Another unwanted side effect of too many people qualifying for the World Championships. In other sports it's rarefied - in ours, almost every class has at least one WQ in it. (NT) -- ., 02:18:18 09/06/23 Wed
