I don't think that this message board is boring. You guys must underestimate how many people read the posted messages. I myself, am still a member of UBF. Because of this site, I have not increased my involvement and am watching the actions of the members in my chapter very carefully. I really only stick to 1:1 Bible Study. If it had not been for this website, I would have really thrown myself into this organization without much thought.

So far, I haven't experienced much of the negative stuff that you guys have mentioned. But, I know that this is because, I haven't increased my involvement. I have experienced the Love Bomb thing (early stage UBF) and the pressure to attend conferences. The truth is that I know what the game is and will gladly leave if 'they' find that I don't commit enough. I’m not playing!!! I do enjoy the Bible Study and have really grown through it. Not all UBF people are bad. However, E’s message about her troubles at *IU still indicate that some people are letting their passion regarding God cloud their judgment.

It is really sad to know that people suffer in UBF. But, they also suffer in many other organizations such as the Catholic Church. I think that this website has brought to light many problems in the organization. I can tell that some members are being careful with the way they act. That is, to not reproduce some of the things that they have been accused of doing. I don’t think that they want to do bad things, it’s just that they have been trained to behave in a certain way. The internet is grate, if you do bad things, people will gladly denounce you in a public forum!
