Why was she worrying about things?! If she had been the type of person to just go off the handle, she probably would have done so right then. She would have gotten out all the yelling and crying that she had held in when he told her he was leaving but instead, she just shook her head. "I'm not worrying about anything. There's nothing to worry about." She stated evenly before she smiled and nodded. "The diner is right up there, they have a great dinner special, all you can eat pasta." She reached down, patting Nani's ears as she started walking again, much to the pups happiness. "I think next summer, if I am not in a Hawaii, I might join one of the volleyball teams out here, it looks like fun and I rock at Volleyball." She was speaking to him just like she would to any of her other collegue/friends. Being a big girl now, she could handle just being friends. She could put the past behind her and move on. There was no way she wanted to play the defensive, crazy ex-girlfriend role. Nope, that just wasn't who she was. He was right in his thinking, usually she was the happy, go lucky one who didn't have a harsh word for anyone. "A couple of the girls in one of my classes were on a team and tried to get me to sign up this season but I had already planned on going to stay with my family." She had gone to Hawaii right after they broke up and then again after the school year had ended for two months each time. It had been nice to go stay with her mom and dad, to see all her cousins and aunts and uncles. They had such a huge 'family' despite the fact that not all of them were actually related, they were closer than most real to goodness families. Any woman who had children over the age of twenty was called 'mama' something or other and the little kids were all so cute...
