"Yeah..." She nodded a bit as they got closer to the deck area of the diner. "This summer was really good. It was nice to see everyone, my Aunt's and Uncle's spent this summer there too and so did all their kids. My cousin Desi is just a few years older then me and her and her husband have the cutest little baby girl. She's such a water baby too, scares the hell out of everybody because she'll just jump in the pool with no warning at all or go toddling off into the waves." She shook her head, grinning as she remembered all the times that Luke had jumped up swearing. It was amazing all the little one's didn't have mouths like sailors. Pausing once they reached the diner, she looked over at him. "Want to go tell them we are out here and I will stay with Nani?" When he agreed she headed over to find a table, just dropping the dogs leash because she knew there was no where for her to go and besides that, Nani could be rather obediant when she chose to be. She opened up the menu and browsed over it despite already knowing what she wanted, just something to kill time until he came back to the table. The moment away from him gave her a chance to regroup anyways. She was pretty proud of herself for not getting to upset or angry so far and thought that it was a good sign that she was at least getting over him. Three years was a long time to be with anyone, it was reasonable that it would take her awhile to stop being sensitive about their relationship. The previous summer, when she was in Hawaii nursing an aching heart, she had been a bit bitter of all the happy couples like Kalia and Zeke for example. Zeke did absolutely everything for Kalia, jumped at her word but yet they both so obviously respected each other. She had watched them out on the beach one night and it was obvious they were so in love, just by looking at them. Nothing about them said 'hey, these two are just really good friends'.
