"When we moved my dad got busy setting up the business and he counted on me to follow his footsteps... he had my life mapped out... and at first it was great... it was so easy to follow his dreams and not have to worry about making my own... then I won world champion last summer... and all those dreams were realised... and now I don;t know what I want out of life. Im twenty five and I have no ambitions and no plan... and all of a sudden I have this life I don;t know what to do with.. and I can;t remember any of my own dreams." He swallowed a touch. he had no idea why he was telling her all this- she barely knew him- or him her. "So I came back to the one place I remember where I had a million ambitions... where the ocean meant more than my career... where I was happiest I guess." He trailed off, setting his jaw a touch.

She just listened quietly for a moment, watching his features in the waning light, her brow furrowed. This was deep stuff - she had figured out that he was locked up tight the first day she'd met him but she wasn't sure how to figure this - She had yet to meet another aimless twentyfive year old man that was actually worried about not having any direction in his life. She couldn't say she had ever been in his situation.. she loved the surf, and that was it - it was a part of her soul and she couldn't imagine it not ever being. "Is it helping? Being back here?"
