Subject: She nodded a bit, her mom had told her time and time again that it was the waves, but her Uncle Bo had told her a far different story - she was sure her mother was reluctant to share it because of how veunerable it made her. "She says she did, but she was actually running away.. or looking for something. Her best friend was shot right in front of her in California, so she hit the road and ended up here. She must have saltwater in her veins because coincidentally, the waves turned out great. Everyone just followed." She spoke slow and quiet, suddenly turned sombre at the thought of her mother's fragile sanity at that time. She herself had felt, in the past, a real sense of being on the brink of disaster emotionally, with no real motivation, but she couldn't imagine what Ace had gone through.
In reply to: Aislinn 's message, "I once saw a man on fire, staring out his window - watching as the flames grew higher and higher. I thought that I saw him cry.. or was he only laughing as his life went rushing on by? And maybe we're just like him.. maybe we're all waiting, for a moment to begin.." on Sun, Aug 13 2006, 10:33am PDT

  • He nodded, he'd heard the story- though his own mother rarely spoke of it- Cadie was a closed book- his father had told him that time and time again and he knew it to be true- but she had a heart of gold. "Yeah my mum told me about it once... must be harsh... her sister died soon after didn;t she? out here?" The group of surfers had had some troubled times... but they'd certainly uncovered a little haven on their travels. (NT) -- Andre, Mon, Aug 21 2006, 11:27am PDT
