(He had never been the person to admit anything.. not even to the social workers when the asked about the bruises.. he had been loyal to his father to the end.. and look where it landed him. He was twenty four, talented, wealthy and intelligent.. but he was also an asshole, a loner and had no sense of emotional attachment. He didn;t order anything, if they didn't serve beer that was their fault. He even sneered at the lady at the counter when she tried to be friendly when his world was crashing. He sat in the oversuffed chair as if it deserved it, looking so completely out of place it was almost comical. His eyes were shifty for a moment before she spoke, then he narrowed his gaze.) I pretty much think the betrayal of protection part had a lot to do with my not calling her. (He said bitterly, he could be pretty moody when he was forced to admit he was wrong.. or that he cared about something.) You know, if you hadn't left alone that night... (He stopped, it was useless to blame it on her when he felt like a shit.) Look, if you want to keep the baby I will support you. (He said in a tone that was almost obligatory.)

She let out a soft breath, trying to clear out her thoughts for a second before she frowned. "You can't blame me for any of this any more then I can blame you for knocking me up." She stated, her eyes threatening to spark again. At that last comment, she shook her head, nearly growling in response. "You know you don't mean that, you would resent it, be pissed, and hate me and the kid so why say things that you aren't going to follow up on?"
