Subject: But she don't mean a thing to me

Oh what a beautiful view
If you were never aware of what was around you
And it is true what you said...
I live like a hermit in my head

"Poor boy.. Need a little bit of meat on you to keep you warm." Not that she was one to talk - definitely not much for insulation on her either. She met his gaze easily, with a soft, concerned, but unquestioned look to her eyes - she worried about him when he was particularly broody like this, but she knew that he would talk if he wanted to. All she could do was make sure that she was always here if he needed or wanted her to be. "Well you're the exception in my target demographic, clearly." Her tone was gently teasing, and then she smiled sweetly in response to his question. "And I keep telling myself to be ready for that day when you come to me to say that you can't handle the snow and the rain and the clouds for one more day, and you're leaving to go back to NC." There was some honesty to her words. This - him and her - was great and meant so much to her, and she was head over heels for him and imagined that she just probably would always be, but it didn't feel like 'forever'. He didn't feel like he was hers, and so she was just trying to make it count while it lasted.
