(He stood as the girl did, his eyes moving to Kate as he automatically moved to take her into his arms. He knew his wife, and contrary to his usual behavior he never let her suffer alone. (The doctor let out a deep breath and cleared his throat. It never got any easier to see a woman like this.) She was injected with a pretty large does of a liquid sedative, similar to a roofie. (He said, looking over at the two adults before looking back at Kelci.) She won't know what happened to her or how it happened, the drug causes a sort of amnesia surrounding the incident. (He eyes moved to the young man for a moment.) She's got a lot of bruised, some scrapes and a bad burn.. but she will be fine. I have some evidence for the police from a rape kit, they may be able to get something from it. (He said, his eyes softening.) Just please remember that she won't know that she was raped, so watch what you say around her. She should wake up in the next ten or fifteen minutes, but her vision will be blurred and she may take a while to recognize anyone. (He smiled just a little and looked around at all the people.) Just be thankful that you all got to her when you did. (He laid a hand on the girls arm.) The nurse will show you to her room. (He said nodding to them before he disappeared through the ER doors.) (He lowered his head and whispered to Kate.) I don't think this person would be stupid enough to leave DNA in her, do you? (Then again.. men didn't always think with their brains.)
