I was afraid of that answer...

The question resulting from this: Is there a way to convert the DVB (MPEG) stream from the satellite receiver into the DV-stream format which is required for the JVC D-VHS Recorder? Is there some kind of converter for this purpose? I mean, WITHOUT using a PC.
