You are right, esp. after the comment I made about Adlibrand's lengthy treatise on his beliefs.

1. All men do evil.

2. This is contrary to the nature of God, and if we desire to be w/Him, we must never commit evil (impossible) or be forgiven.

3. Forgiveness is attained through sacrifice for those that want it and believe in it. God gave his only Son to be this sacrifice for those who believe in it and are baptized (this would be akin to a public statement of faith for most).

End of story.

I am not required to make a pilgrimage, follow any particular rules, avoid pork, etc. There really are no rules, except that I have no desire to chase the things that some men & women chase. I don't seek power or fame. I don't seek to by my own god because that places me on a pedestal above others. I am no better than anyone else, nor am I any worse. All mankind can safely quote the hymn "Chief of sinners though I be..."
