He's always known that she and Angel have something that he'll never have, so what did he expect. Although, I have to say I felt bad for him a little when he said earlier that he'd been alone his entire life, and that the night he spent with Buffy was the happiest day of his life! That's sad...but so is forcing yourself to walk away from your one true love after saving the world! Poor William, first Drusilla and now Buffy. He's better off evil or dead. I'd be surprised though if Spike does something stupid out of jealousy.
