Heard from a little birdie, that it may not be appropriate to chat about other hottys here on the Kim's Wonderful Woody Board. All I can say is lighten up a little!!! It's all good. I am not the Admin of this page either, just to clear that up. Haven't heard from her here in awhile.

Seriously though, sorry to those who may be offended. But if anyone wants to chat or share other hotty's, visit my Myspace at www.myspace.com/kdfy/

FANS GIVE X FACTOR MACS FULL BACKING
Beverley Lyons And Laura Sutherland
X-FACTOR stars the MacDonald Brothers yesterday gave starstruck fans the chance to appear on their next hit single - as backing singers.

Brothers Craig, 21, and Brian, 20, are putting the finishing touches to their second album, The World Outside, which is due for release on October 15.

Fans were asked via the brothers' website to turn up at their recording studio to sing a backing track for their new single - a cover of the Bay City Rollers' Saturday Night, which was never released in the UK.

And more than 30 lucky fans crammed into the Music Kitchen recording studio in Edinburgh yesterday for the session.

All of the fans who sang on the backing track will be credited in the CD, which is to include a 30- minute documentary DVD showcasing the boys' rise to stardom.

Hey my kids had a karaoke machine that they had gotten for Christmas, and Rollercoater actually played in it. Guess they forgot to put region codes in that thing.

Anyway, for those of you that can't watch it on their current DVD players, it is a WORTH see!!! Very well done!!! It's great to see Stuart so happy with his life now!!! So if you plan on getting it, make sure you have a region free DVD player first. Or try a karaoke player it worked for me. Enjoy it. Blessings and peace to all!!!

MACS FACTOR
Exclusive MacDonalds launch fans contest
Beverley Lyons And Laura Sutherland
SCOTS duo The MacDonald Brothers are giving fans the chance to appear on their next album.

Ayrshire lads Brian and Craig are so grateful for all the support they've had from their home crowd that they want to give something back.

On Thursday, July 26, The X Factor boys are offering their biggest fans a chance to make themselves heard on one of their new tracks, a namecheck on their forthcoming album, and a signed photo. And they are calling it the Macs Factor.

After the success of their first album, which was No.1 in the Scots charts for two weeks, and went Top 20 in the UK, the boys have been busy writing and recording at Edinburgh's Music Kitchen studios.

The boys are all set to explore the European and US markets and can't wait to tour Scotland in their brand new Mazda Mx5 - a present to themselves for all their hard work.

Commencing on August 31 in Langholm, and taking in Dunoon (September 1), Fraserburgh (8th), Skye (22nd) and Drumnadrochit (23rd), as well as the big cities, the tour concludes on October 26 and 27 with two shows in their home town of Ayr at the Gaiety Theatre. The tour will coincide with the release of their new album on October 15.

Brian said: "The reason we are where we are is because people voted for us and supported us. We want to give them credit. It's a pure thank you to our fans.

"The song originally had a chant at the start of it and we thought it was a good idea to get the fans in to give us a range of voices."

Craig added: "Some acts take longer to release a second album but we had loads written and want to keep our fanbase interested.

"Half of the new album will have original songs by Brian and I, but we've got a few surprises there too."

If you want to appear on the track, get down to The Music Kitchen, at 86 Cause wayside at 12 midday next Thursday. All those in the queue will be given the chance to take part. Over 18s must bring proof of age and ID and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Just a little Daily Record Mac Bros mention

JUMPIN TO THE MACS FACTOR
Beverley Lyons
THE MacDonald Brothers are getting ready to play Glasgow's Jumpin Jaks this month.

Brothers Craig and Brian made such a great impression the last time they guested at the venue, during the X Factor tour, that they've been booked to play on May 27. Since their last visit to Jaks, the boys have released their debut album, which stormed to the top of the Scots charts - much to the disappointment of Simon Cowell.

General manager Quentin Collier told the Razz: "Craig and Brian literally blew the roof off last time they were here.

"I've had to book them again just to stop people asking when they'll be coming back".

I was at the Edinburgh fest and had a chance to have a lovely chat with Frasier and a few words with Gordon while I was purchasing some CD's and Rollercoaster. Rollercoaster is excellent! Stuart is just as I thought he would be and it was good to see his parents looking well. If any of you like celtic music, or your just looking for some nice music to chill out, you HAVE to get Road to Rosslyn from The Music Kitchen! I ADORE that CD! It's so serene and peaceful! I also purchased Rockin in the Glen and the MacDonald Bros. Rockin in the Glen is my husbands favorite and I especially love 500 Miles Lassies version. Brilliant!

William Kontos & DJ Ever, Saturday Night in Montreal
(Wax Recordings)

I always welcome dance floor interpolations of obscure '70s rock singles. For some reason, Kontos and Ever choose to tackle Scottish pop rock from the Bay City Rollers, selecting their 1973 single Saturday Night, which I don't think I'd ever heard before [Ed.'s note: You're a riot.] Snippets of vocals singing "Saturday" repeatedly remind one of Elton John's classic Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting. Kontos & Ever's Saturday Night in Montreal builds from a big break to a standard four-on-the-floor beat with trippy high-frequency blips and scratches and Bay City Rollers samples time-stretched and panned to create a panoramic feel. A chugging bass line hints at an acid riff. Though it nods briefly to techno, minimal and breakbeat genres, Saturday Night in Montreal oozes more prog-juice than anything. Extra points for including the original 1973 Bay City Rollers track on the B-side.

Congratulations Woody on signing the MacDonald Brothers. I think they will be extremely popular among young fans and you have a hit on your hands. It's nice to see one of the Bay City Rollers doing something productive besides traveling around to fairs or casinos as old men in tartan ruining the hits that you made popular. People actually are plugging their ears to the new Bay City Rollers idol tour. I'm glad you are moving forward. It's kind of sad when someone was in the band only for a few months & quit, but NOW tries to profit by your years of efforts. I wish I could say differently that they aren't ruining your hits, but they certainly do need to practice.
