Subject: Bet you the large reconnaissance balloon flying over Montana

is some intrepid explorers trying to set a world record of some sort.

Daft idiots in Nasa ought to be using large balloons to lift payloads into space.

You know how double-downers are. They will say "it was never done like that before". Maximum flames and noise is what the people want so that is what they will get. Even though first stage rockets and fuel would not be needed. Big savings, plus no shake rattle and roll of the lift off to affect the payload.
