Subject: Core PCE deflator by media is claimed not so bad this month.

I propose that the indicator is in actuality a compound problem. As in compound interest, the more personal consumption declines each month adds/compounds on the month(s) previous. Here is a statement from https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_core_pce_price_index_yoy claiming different percentages of consumption each month. You will notice there is not a baseline indicator so when core consumption deflator is 5.05% in October, then 4.68% in November the percentages are accrued leading to a distorted view of consumption. If consumers are purchasing less in one month that loss is deflated/compounded by the loss of purchases the month after.

Less sales means less stock on the shelves next month as the sellers see less profit in holding products that are not selling.

You might say the baseline is the report each month from sellers, only, when less stock is selling each month that compounds cause we all know the businesses can't make up for lost capital.
