Yep Terry, you heard right, he pulled out of State of Play. It appeares the writers strike is effecting every part of Hollywood.

Surely it wasn't an easy decision for Brad to drop out last minute like he has. Especially with the all star cast involved. But, something didn't click with him, just like with the Fountain. He makes his own choices, there is nothing anyone can ever do to stop him so I guess the end result isn't something he worries a great deal about. I doubt they would sue him, that would pretty much burn a bridge and hopefully the movie studio's are smarter then that, especially where Brad is concerned.

As far as George stepping in and taking the part, his middle name is "loyality" so if it would be a betrayal to Brad, I couldn't imagine him even considering it.

Brad's signing to work with Darren again after the things he said about him when he dropped out of the Fountain prove that Brad doesn't hold grudges.

In the end, maybe the studio's should put the blame where it belongs by looking in the mirror. They want to push through questionable material just so they don't have to settle the strike with their writers. They should resolve it already because they have a lot further to fall than anyone else involved. Why can't they come to an agreement? it is easy to pass the blame on others, but, bravo to Brad for standing up and not allowing them to control him.

If you think about it, his pulling out has more impact in them resolving the dispute more than joining them on the picket line. Maybe what the movie business is lacking is integrity.

And haha that Paltrow was lacking guts to play Brad's wife,.... as she should be. *evil chuckle*
