You don't know Jon Stewart has a show??? umm, okay. In that case, i strongly recommend watching it, although maybe you shouldn't because you really won't like him as much after you watch, the man has got a sharp tongue and a huge amount of charisma and isn't afraid to use either of those LOL
But you know, don't assume that all conservatives don't have the backbone to stand up and talk about their views. We have Jon Stewart and Bill Maher, you guys have Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. So the field is pretty even in that respect. The only problem is that unfortunately for you guys, you're stuck with two dudes with total tunnel vision & abrasive nature that constantly manages to offend even the people sharing their political views. Oh well. Gotta work with what you have :)
And talking about smug attitude with the liberals, NO ONE is more smug than Rush Limbaugh (and his political views are waaaayy conservative), i mean the guy eats, sleeps and breathes smugness. Sorry, if being smug is a liberal trait, then he is the biggest liberal i've ever seen in my entire life LOL
Now about what you said about travel. Wow. It is so sad to me that you think being a world traveller means seeing a liberal point of view. OMG, buddy, with all your wisdom and vision and eloquence, you are meant to be a world traveller and it is just so heartbreaking for me to see that your conservative nature prevents you from doing that. And the worst part is that I honestly don't see why there can't be a golden middle with this, why it can't go hand in hand. What makes you think that every country is liberal? Are you kidding me?! You go to any place in Europe, there are some deeply religious people living there of all types of political views, you can see amazing houses of God and worship all over Europe and i tell you, buddy, it will fill you with wonder and bring you even closer to God than you ever thought!! It made me more spiritual than i ever thought possible to be able to travel and see these things with my own eyes, the beauty of nature in all different ways, the different cultures & foods and astoundingly glorious churches and cathedrals. I have probably been inside more different cathedrals than you have and i am neither Catholic nor religious LOL Honestly, Gina, you've just proven to me why i would pick the liberal side every day of the week and twice on Sun. You honestly don't know what you're missing, especially being a God's servant and defender, you would think you would YEARN to see all the corners of the beautiful earth He created!
Nothing else i can say except that.....
But if you want to visit Lebanon, you should, it's a gorgeous place (plenty of places in the Middle East are, i visited Israel and it was just amazing) I honestly don't think you should put this away and keep saying "someday", life is too short. Pick up and go, you won't regret it.
