I dont know, Gina, i thought it was cute. And the theater was full of single girls and gay guys, i didnt see a lot of dates. No one in their right mind (except maybe one of the clueless gals from that movie LOL) would bring a date to see this type of movie :) After i told my man, he laughed and said that he would rather die than see it, ever :) Which i knew, so of course i went with a bunch of my single galpals and we had a blast. For all the bad reviews, the movie made me chuckle more than once and i actually thought it was really cute. I identified with JA's character the most, the live-in relationship where the guy kept saying he didnt believe in marriage (so like mine!) And then in the end, where he did end up popping the question to her, that even brought a tear to my eye, i hate to admit. I guess i just like movies where i can identify with what the characters are going through. So while i realize it's by no means a masterpiece and Oscar material, i have nothing all that bad to say about the movie, it's good fun fo us girls :) And it doesn't surprise me it made a killing at the box office, we had to get tickets a day in advance because it was all sold out by Friday morning in all the Manhattan theaters!! I think during the tough economic times we are in, this is exactly the kind of movie we can use :) But that's just my opinion...
