 Seriously, Gina, I don't know what to think. I heard that this presentation in NO was long planned for this date. And since Brad was always involved in this project right from the start it makes sense that he appears there. It would be surprising if he didn't.

I don't think it has anything to do with Brad trying to clean his image after the bad publicity he got in the last days. He doesn't care about what others think of him, I guess. You said it right in a previous post, he follows his way and does what he pleases.

I also don't think it has anything to do with the start of the awards-season. Brad himself once said he knows he isn't someone whom they consider award-worthy. I think he knows that he hasn't a chance on winning any major-acting award. And I guess it is not important for him, not anymore.

The media attention is there when Brad is involved, there is nothing you can do about it. He can't do anything without the media around him. At least in this case he can use the media to the project's advantage. I bet there wouldn't be as much interest in all of this if not a big celebrity was involved. That is the advantage of such a high profile celebrity, they can draw attention to such projects.

And of course Brad smiles. What else should he do? Put on a whiny face? You know a smiling face suggests optimism, a sad face not.
At least Brad is doing something. Think of all the celebs who do nothing and are still worshiped.

Feel better, Gina. I think Brad can do whatever he wants, they will always find the negativity in it first. From all the things you said were said about him in this case nothing is coaxing. As I expected - the bashing after dropping out of State of Play continues. If he is doing nothing he is a big ego, if he does something good it is for winning awards and saving his career *roll of the eyes* They only see the bad in him. But that is nothing new when it comes to Brad Pitt.
