Can somebody tell me why all the 5'3" girls are sooo incredibly unhealthily underweight?
Im entering MCVP 2002, im 5'3" and 110lbs. But that is because I workout--my interview is tomrrow and im sorta freaking out now because all they seem to want are skinny unhealthy looking girls.

=)Basically The reason why is that when you are on carmera, It adds about 10 to 15 lbs on the face and body. The producer would adjust the weight so that on camera you would look thin. I know it sounds silly, but I Hope that I help try to answer your question. Good luck on your interview. By the way out of curiosity Is it possible that you can tell me What do they ask you in the interview. =)

Hm.. what do they ask.. well.. they basically asked me 2 questions.. (i told them i loved to sing) they asked me to sing for them.. and then another judge asked me how i was prepared to fit in their busy schedule into my own.

Congradulations on making it to the top 10. Wow..! you actually sang on the spot. Did you feel nervous? Was your nominee there beside you or were you alone? I was wondering can you tell me why do you have to bring your nominee with you on your interview day? Do the judges ask them questions too; what do they ask them? Sorry to ask you so many questions,but I've been curious all these years and I don't know anyone who ever went to a pageant. oh well, good luck and I think you'll definitely do well, especially with stage presence. =)

[> Subject: 100lb and 5'3" that is the perfect weight. You shouldn't have anything to worry about if your body is nicely proportioned. Show off those toned legs and arms! Good luck on your interview!

They treat the contestants like absoute crap--almost like in military boot camp. The contestants don't get a say in anything they do... hair, makeup, clothes, etc.
This is why they don't deserve any criticism on their pictures and whatever because they have no control over how they look. I feel sorry for them. These stupid pageants are fixed.

hey, i found out that 'candice' is actually one of the finalists for the miss chinese toronto pageant, not vancouver...

There are some female athletes who are 5'2" and 125 lbs. They're definitely not overweight (in fact, they're probably much healthier and in much better shape than the rest of us). Overweight is like 5'3" and 130 lbs., not 110
