I'm glad Ms. Van kicked ass.

2 criticisms about Miss Van that I hear from fans of the way overrated Miss Toronto are as follows: 1) that Van tries too hard to get attention; and 2) that Van is fake.

Ok, first, this is a contest, no? Why shouldn't she try to win? Is she supposed to just sit pretty and just assume that she'll win, e.g. like Miss Toronto? And considering that the media initially focused all their attention on Miss Toronto and that Miss Van still won, I say that her efforts to win paid off.

Second, as for Miss Van being fake, how do ppl, especially those on this board, know that she is fake? No one knows her personally, right? Ahh, Miss Van. Victory is so sweet, eh?
