You sound like a pretty great guy. It is admirable that in times like these, you want to stand by your gf. Unfortunately, you will have to give her that time alone, and the only thing I can think to tell you is to pray. I don't know if you believe in God, or if you pray at all -but honestly, I know there is power in prayer, especially when you pray with the right intentions. Wanting to keep another human alive is definitely a "right" intention. There's not a magic formula to prayer - just ask God to be with and help you and your girlfriend and for God to talk to her heart, and remind her how much He loves her and the baby she's carrying.

Do give your gf the space she's needing right now - and hang in there - it will be tough sometimes -but life is always tough - and really there is no "easy street" - IMHO
