I'm glad she is going to the doctor. She might not be pregnant and just late because of stress. A woman can be late because of stress or weight gain or loss. I agree with Pat, talk to a lawyer. There are local laws and state laws that govern at what age a person is considered an adult. A lot of lawyers will talk to potential clients free for the first visit, if money is a factor in not finding out what your rights are.

I also must congraduate you for being honest with your mother. She sounds like a great support system. Maybe she would know state laws and can help with the legal factors involved.
