But it is always better to drink as much as you can....
there is always a big debateon what counts as water....

Some say that water is to detox the system... where in drinking Crystal light or coolaid or such things wouldn't count as water intake because they are adding more toxins...

Others say that it is to hydrate your system.... basically to replinish the water that you burn durring excercise and daily activities... in which drinking Crystal light,,, leamonaid... tea and stuff as that would work just as well as drinking water strait from the tap.... (or bottle)

I personally believe that it is both.... You should strike a good ballance between water and other hydrating drinks....try to intake as much as you can.... and remember that there is no substitute for good natural water.... but,,, if you like many of us have a hard time taking 8 glasses of water... take about 4 of them and have some thing pleasurable like tea... or lemonaide... or crystal light... or something of that nature.... Good ballence is the key to all things in dieting....

Good Luck,
~Ivy~

There is a ton of info on why water is best out on the interent. It flushes toxins, is necessary for cells to metabolize, makes you feel fuller, cushions joints, etc. I always thought what's the difference, and got my liquids solely through diet sodas. This time I made the switch to water and gave up the diet sodas except for special occasions. The difference is amazing. Weight loss is much easier, I feel healthier, and am able to exercise more ( joints are better hydrated). A basic rule of thumb for water is half your weight in ounces per day. So if you weigh 200 pounds you should drink at least 100 ounces a day. Just do the best you can, it can be hard at first ( I had a hard time making the switch), but once it becomes habit you'll wonder why you ever drank anything else. Good luck and stick with it, soon it'll be a habit!
