Surah al-isra 17.4

And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the Scripture, that indeed you would do mischief on the earth twice and you will become tyrants and extremely arrogant!

As Salaamu Alaikoum,

praise be to Allah.

"And We gave (clear) warning to the Children of Israel in the Book that twice would they do mischief on the earth and be elated with mighty arrogance (and twice would they be
punished).."

What the twice refers to is that more than once did Allah send his wrath to the Jews for their disobediance of him. Once with the destruction of the Temple By Nebuchadnezzar when the Jews were carried off into captivity, and again when Jeruselem was destroyed by Titus after which the temple was never rebuilt. Yet still, the Jews chose to reject Allah and his signs and warnings and remain arrogant and disobediant..
