Respected scholar, i would like to know whether is it obligatory for a person to get the consent or permission of his first wife to marry second? Plz can u give me some references of quranic verses or hadiths?

Praise be to Allah.

A man does NOT have to have the consent or approval of a wife to marry another. There is no sahih hadith on this planet, nor ayat in the Quran that states that a man has to so... therefore there is nothing here to produce. For those who say that a man must have the consent or permission, tell them to produce their evidence, and they will not be able to do so because, NONE EXIST...
